- Power washing: Pressurised water is used to remove dirt and contaminants. Suitable for metals.
- Air cleaning: Compressed air is used to remove dust, dirt and contaminants. Also suitable for metals.
- Brushing cleaning: Brushing is used to remove unwanted material from metals and packaging materials like jute bags.
- Chemical cleaning: For some commodities, chemicals can be used to remove contaminants without damaging the product.
- Heat treatment and steam sterilisation: Heat and steam can be used to disinfect commodities.
