Ndola – Dar es Salaam
At C. Steinweg Bridge we pride ourselves in providing our customers with the best viable and custom solutions to get their cargo from origin to final delivery.
One example of this is our rail service between Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Ndola, Zambia. We operate a weekly train on this 1952 km railway corridor. The train set consists of 2 locomotives and 30 wagons, and can convey 60 twenty-foot containers, of 1620mt, per trip.
The train runs from the Dar es Salaam Port straight into our bonded facility in Ndola, where we offload, unpack, pack, bag, and label your cargo, from the comfort of our own, private rail siding. The transit time, on average, is 7 days and turn-around time at our Ndola facility is 8 hours. Once a train has offloaded in Ndola, we load it back to Dar es Salaam with minerals and metals for export.
The benefit to you is a shortened transit time, streamlined border clearances, faster warehouse receiving/dispatching, affordability, and stress-free transportation when we are at the throttle.
