We have been informed that Maxi Taxi are protesting today citing that they are tired of being robbed daily. Taxis have blocked the road between Musina and the Border post – no traffic movement, auto or pedestrian, is being allowed. All government officials have left their offices and as such the C. Steinweg Bridge Musina office remains closed until the situation is rectified by law enforcement.

Due to the unrest no progress will be achieved on northbound or southbound movements through the border. Security is on high alert and are monitoring the situation closely to protect high pilferage & hijackable cargo.
