Overview:
Support the Finance Manager in the financial aspects of the company to provide a cost-effective service in accordance with company policies, objectives, and goals that satisfy the needs of the customer.
Plan, direct and action Divisional accounting activities by performing the following duties:
- Compliance with the group standard
- Preparation of accounts, financial planning, and budgeting
Key Job Functions:
- Management of working capital
- Daily review of financial data accuracy and management of operational margins
- Relevant and timeous management information and budgeting
- Manage creditors
- Manage cash flow forecasts
- Costing of business transactions
- Reporting on results of all activities and variances
- Monthly audit file completion and dealing with auditors
- Management of internal controls and procedures
- Set up SOP’s and controls
- Budgets and monthly management accounts completion
- People management and development
- Comply with all statutory requirements
- System Development
- Working capital reports
- Fuel / rate adjustment process
Requirements
Education
- Matric – Grade 12
- BCom (Accts) CIMA or equivalent qualification Accounting Degree.
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- 3 years of administration experience
- Previous experience in logistics would be advantageous
- Experience in Financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial software systems
